In Times of Trouble
DELIVERANCE FROM TROUBLE:
"Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all"
(Psalm 34:19).
"Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth"
(Psalm 71:20).
"For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks. For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness"
(Psalm 18:27, 28).
"They cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses"
(Psalm 107:19).
"Their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all. I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow"
(Jeremiah 31:12, 13).
SUPPORT IN TROUBLE:
"He hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard"
(Psalm 22:24).
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. The salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble"
(Psalm 37:24, 39).
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah"
(Psalm 46:1-3).
"Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved"
(Psalm 55:22).
"Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me"
(Psalm 138:7).
"Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me. I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness"
